INITIATIVES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

M-Power Millennium Awards
This scheme was launched in December 1997 by The Prince's Trust - Action and is funded by the Millennium Commission. It will be run in the UK for 3 years. It will make awards up to £10,000 to groups of disadvantaged 14-25 year olds to develop community projects helping local people. Each project must be a challenge so that the completion represents an outstanding achievement for the young people involved. The Prince's Trust - Action wants to form partnerships with a wide range of youth organisations who will encourage young people to develop project ideas and submit applications.
